Green silicon carbide is quartz (SIO2) petroleum coke (C) or coal tar sawdust and sodium chloride (NACL) as the basic raw material in the high temperature electric resistance furnace in the smelting of non-metallic minerals,because its color is green and gets its name from its chemical composition is mainly silicon carbide (SiC > 99%),minor impurities (free carbon,free silicon, SIO2, Fe2O3) , impurity content less than 1%. Green silicon carbide hardness is very high, and its resistance to high temperature hardness more than a little higher than black silicon carbide, green silicon carbide is used for processing high hardness brittle large non-ferrous materials, such as cemented carbide optical glass, etc
