Industrial production of silicon carbide is made from fine quartz sand and petroleum coke in a resistance furnace. Refining silicon carbide blocks, through crushing, acid and alkali washing, magnetic separation and screening or water separation and made into a variety of particle size products. The production process is as follows:
01 Raw material crushing:
The hammer crusher is used to crush the petroleum coke to the required particle size.
02 Ingredients and mixing:
Ingredients and mixes are the process of weighing and blending according to the prescribed formula. This project uses a platform for batching and a concrete mixer for mixing materials. According to the technical requirements, it carries out batching and mixing operations for petroleum coke and quartz sand.
03 Silicon carbide electric furnace preparation:
Electric furnace preparation is the last time used furnace repair, finishing, in order to put into use again. Work contents include cleaning bottom material, dressing electrode, cleaning and repairing furnace wall, loading force and first stop, checking and removing other defects of furnace.
04 Furnace charging:
Furnace charging is to fill the furnace with reaction material, insulation material and furnace core material according to the specified type, position and size of the charge, and build the side wall of the melting furnace which has the function of heat preservation and material storage.
05 Smelting silicon carbide by power supply:
When the smelting furnace is connected to the transformer, electricity will be sent on. Open fire was used to ignite CO 15min from the start of power transmission, and the smelting process lasted 170h.
06 Cooling:
After the silicon carbide smelting furnace stops, the natural cooling is carried out, and then the furnace is padded (unloading the furnace wall, scraping the spent material), and the natural cooling is continued.
07 Discharge grading:
The silicon carbide discharge classification is the process of taking off the crystal block and graphite from the furnace, and separating the first grade, second grade, graphite and other things. The silicon carbide discharge grading method is used outside the furnace. The crystallization cylinder is split manually, and the crystallizing cylinder is transported to the grading field to be manually graded.
